This paper analyses the data of a wider survey about school guidance. Coherently with the previous researches in the educational field carried out on the basis of bourdieusian perspective, the article examines the influence of teachers’ guidance advises on educational choices made by students attending some lower secondary schools in Rome. The analysis shows that teachers’ guidance advises varies according to the school social composition, following the educational inequalities mechanisms due to students’ social origin.
