Abstract
The article focuses on the contribution of George Edgar Vincent, in the scientific disclosure in sociology in America and on his idea of sociology. Vincent was a pioneer in many sociological fields, recognizing great importance to education, instruction, social mind, social tradition and social memory. Fundamental is his interest and concrete commitment to the University. The aim of this article is to show its relevance.
